Nenadi Usman Becomes Labour Party's First Female National Chairman in Nigeria

Nenadi Usman has officially assumed the role of the first female National Chairman of the Labour Party in Nigeria, taking over the party secretariat. Usman expressed gratitude during her speech at the secretariat in Abuja, thanking God and acknowledging the challenges faced.

She highlighted the importance of the party's development and praised the efforts of Ikechukwu Emetu, the Abia State Deputy Governor, and his team. Usman assured the party's commitment to doing the right thing at the right time and emphasized the need for unity and progress.

She led journalists on a tour of the party's national secretariat in Utako District, Abuja, confirming the transition of leadership from the faction led by Juliu Abur. The Federal High Court had previously affirmed the removal of Abur as the National Chairman, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognizing Usman's leadership of the party.
