Keyamo Critiques ADC Leadership Crisis Ahead of Elections

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has dismissed the leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), particularly the faction led by David Mark. Keyamo warned that the ADC risks not fielding any candidates in the 2027 general elections due to its reliance on emotional reasoning and legal disputes.

He emphasized that the law does not accommodate sentiment and criticized the faction's approach to handling its leadership issues. Keyamo noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has derecognized Mark's faction, citing a court appeal judgment that mandates the party to maintain the status quo until the Federal High Court resolves the matter.

He advised the ADC to seek new legal avenues or expedite court hearings to resolve the leadership dispute. Keyamo also rejected claims that the APC or INEC were responsible for the ADC's issues, labeling them as self-inflicted.
