New Basketball Camp Boosts Youth Sports Development in Nigeria

A basketball development camp backed by the Presidency took place at the newly renovated Dolphin Basketball Court, bringing together 200 elite young basketball prospects from across Nigeria. The event, organized in partnership with Templar Adrenal, marked a significant step in grassroots sports development.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Adeyinka Adeboy, attended and described the initiative as crucial for building the future of Nigerian sports. President Bola Tinubu's administration remains committed to empowering youth through sports.

Adeboy expressed confidence that young athletes could represent Nigeria internationally, including opportunities in the NBA and European clubs. The event also featured the selection of 14 outstanding athletes for the first phase of the Templar Adrenal High-Performance Development Program, which will provide elite training, mentorship, and educational support.

This initiative is part of a ten-year development agreement aimed at creating sustainable opportunities for grassroots athletes across multiple sports nationwide.
