Elite Young Basketball Talents Compete in Lagos Event

On May 23, 2026, Lagos will host a significant event where 200 elite young basketball talents will compete for life-changing opportunities. This initiative, organized by Templar Adrenal in collaboration with Hon.

Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroot Sports Development, is part of a broader effort to enhance grassroots sports in Nigeria. The event will take place at the newly renovated Dolphin Basketball Court in Ikeja.

The selection process began at the National Sports Festival in Abeokuta and involved scouting across multiple states to identify exceptional young talents aged 13 to 18. The selected athletes will participate in the first official intake of the Templar Adrenal High-Performance Development Program, which aims to provide elite basketball training, mentorship, and educational support.

This initiative is expected to generate excitement within Nigeria's basketball community and mark a new era in the development of sports talent in the country.
