New JAMB Registrar Vows to Combat Exam Malpractice

On Friday, Prof. Segun Aina was formally introduced as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at the National Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja. He declared a strong commitment to fighting examination malpractice, warning fraud syndicates, impersonators, and corrupt operators that their activities are unwelcome.

Aina emphasized the importance of integrity in the admission process, stating that every fraudulent admission represents a theft of opportunity for honest candidates. He pledged to utilize lawful technological, administrative, and investigative measures to detect and prosecute offenders.

Aina also highlighted the need for collaboration with security agencies and the adoption of global best practices to combat fraud. He aims to create a more transparent and customer-focused JAMB, reducing stress and anxiety for candidates and parents by simplifying processes and improving communication.

Aina succeeded Prof. Is-haq Oloyede and described JAMB as a vital bridge between aspiration and opportunity for millions of Nigerian youth.
