Ogun CP OjaJuni Advocates Professionalism in Police Force

Bode OjaJuni, the new Commissioner of Police for Ogun State, held his inaugural briefing on Monday at the state police command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. He directed officers to uphold professionalism and respect human dignity, stating that the police command would not tolerate indiscipline or disrespect towards citizens.

OjaJuni, appointed by Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu, emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of office and corruption, asserting that discipline is fundamental to the Nigeria Police Force. He called for mutual respect between police officers and the public, encouraging citizens to engage with the police as partners in maintaining security.

OjaJuni also introduced a robust complaint response unit, accessible via telephone and social media, to enhance transparency and accountability. He reassured stakeholders of the commitment to a safer Ogun State, urging the public to report misconduct through appropriate channels.

OjaJuni highlighted the importance of collaboration with traditional rulers, community leaders, and the media to achieve collective security goals.
