Ogun CP Advocates Stronger Police-Public Partnership

Bode Ojaijuni, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, emphasized the need for a stronger partnership between the police and the public to address rising insecurity issues such as kidnapping and cultism. Speaking at a monthly meeting with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Ojaijuni argued that effective policing thrives on collaboration, which enhances security efforts.

He highlighted the recent surge in armed robbery incidents and related social vices, stressing the importance of sustained engagement with community stakeholders to ensure public safety. Ojaijuni reaffirmed the police command's commitment to intelligence-led and proactive policing, aiming to safeguard lives and property.

The meeting served as a platform for interaction between the police and community stakeholders, focusing on improving intelligence sharing and building trust in police operations across the state. Comrade Lawal Abdullahi, the PCRC chairman, commended Ojaijuni's presence at the meeting, marking the first time a serving commissioner attended such an engagement, and pledged continued support for maintaining peace and security in Ogun State.
