NFF Appoints Maikaba and Uwejamomere as Youth Coaches

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed Abdu Maikaba as the head coach of Nigeria's U20 national team and Eboborits Uwejamomere as the head coach of the U17 national team. This decision was confirmed by the NFF's executive committee, which approved the recommendations made by its technical development committee.

Abdu Maikaba, who has previously worked with the U17 team, returns to familiar territory, having assisted the U20 team during Paul Aigbogun's tenure. Maikaba has built a reputation in domestic leagues, having coached several top clubs, including Enyimba FC, Wikki Tourists, Kano Pillars, and Plateau United, and notably led Akwa United FC to victory in the 2017 Federation Cup.

Eboborits Uwejamomere, taking charge of the Golden Eaglets, brings a strong technical and analytical background, having spent years as a coach analyst for the senior national team, the Super Eagles, and contributing to the women's national team, the Super Falcons. He currently serves as the head of the academy at Lagos FC and has experience with English clubs like Millwall FC, Gillingham FC, and Nottingham Forest, along with a stint as head coach at Stormers FC.
