NFF Inaugurates Committees for 2026 Elections

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially inaugurated its Electoral and Appeal Committees in preparation for the upcoming Executive Elections, set for September 26, 2026, in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The inauguration took place at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja on April 2, with Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the NFF President, urging committee members to carry out their responsibilities without fear or favor.

Matthew Burka, a senior advocate in Nigeria, assured stakeholders of a credible electoral process. The Electoral Committee comprises notable members including Alhaji Babagoni Grema, Alhaji Batur Musa, Ayibay Peter, Great Temedi, Hon Dr. Akogun Olugbenga, Omol Arinz, Azubuik Anughel, and Abayomi Akin Omoyimi, with Hon Justic C.J.

Anek and Barr Benjamin Sati serving as alternate members. The Appeal Committee will include Professor Abdulmalik Awwal and FIFA representatives Emmanuel Dada, Obafemi Ayi Ekpo, and Ukpayam.

NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi will act as the committee's secretary in accordance with the federation's statutes.
