NFF Inaugurates Electoral Appeal Committee for 2026 Elections

On Thursday, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) inaugurated its Electoral Appeal Committee, tasked with overseeing the elections for the NFF Executive Committee for the 2026-2030 term. The inauguration was performed by NFF President Ibrahim Gusau in Abuja, where he urged the committee members to act with fairness, transparency, and integrity.

Gusau highlighted the importance of credibility in strengthening Nigerian football governance and inspiring confidence among local and international stakeholders. Matthew Burka, representing the committee, assured that the elections would be conducted professionally and reflect global best practices to earn the trust of the football community.

The elections are scheduled to take place on September 26 in Lafia, Nasarawa State, with dignitaries including Philip Shaibu and Felix Anyansi Agwu expected to attend. The Electoral Committee includes members such as Burka, Babagoni Grema, and Musa Ayibay, while the Alternate Appeal Committee features C.J.

Anek and Benjamin Sati, among others. Moham Sanusi will serve as the committee's secretary.
