NFF Proposes $100K Salary for Coach Eric Chelle

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is in discussions to potentially offer Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle a new monthly salary of $100,000 as part of ongoing contract negotiations. Currently, Chelle earns $50,000 per month and has requested an increase to $130,000 to cover the salaries of his technical staff and improve working conditions.

Sources within the federation indicate that while they are willing to review Chelle's existing contract, they cannot exceed the proposed $100,000 monthly ceiling. If Chelle declines this offer, the NFF is reportedly considering searching for a foreign coach to replace him, although they have ruled out appointing a local coach.

Chelle has expressed his commitment to the Nigerian national team and has defended his salary request, emphasizing the need for better working conditions. He is expected to announce the squad for Nigeria's upcoming international friendly during the next FIFA window.
