NFF Engages William Osula for Super Eagles Switch

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has initiated discussions with William Osula, a striker for Newcastle United, about a potential switch to represent Nigeria's national team, the Super Eagles. Osula, who was born in Aarhus, Denmark to a Nigerian father and a Danish mother, has recently been called up to the Denmark national team but has not yet made his debut.

He has scored three goals in his last four Premier League matches, including a decisive goal against Manchester United. Danish journalist Farzam Abolhosseini reported that the NFF is keen to secure Osula's commitment, especially as both Nigeria and Denmark failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The NFF is looking to utilize Osula in upcoming friendly matches against Poland and Portugal in May and June. Osula's decision to play for Nigeria could be influenced by the NFF's outreach and his current form, as he has a market value of approximately £15 million.
