NFF to Benefit from ₦1.5b CAF Fund Annually from 2026

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to benefit from a ₦1.5 billion annual fund allocated by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) starting in 2026. CAF President Patrice Motsepe announced this initiative as part of a wide-ranging restructuring plan.

The fund will support football development in African countries, with each nation receiving an annual contribution. The NFF has faced financial challenges, including unpaid allowances for the senior national team, the Super Eagles.

The fund is expected to alleviate financial struggles and enhance football infrastructure across the continent.
