NGF Chairman Advocates for Nigeria's Democratic Protection

AbdulRazaq, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, urged for the protection of Nigeria's democratic gains during a recent address. He highlighted the importance of vigilance among citizens to preserve democratic ideals, referencing the sacrifices of MKO Abiola as a defining symbol in Nigeria's democratic journey.

AbdulRazaq noted that Nigeria's uninterrupted democratic experience over the past 27 years demonstrates the resilience of its people and institutions, despite numerous challenges. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to deepening democratic governance and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach all segments of society.

Additionally, he mentioned ongoing efforts in Kwara State to tackle security challenges and called for unity among citizens to strengthen the country and accelerate national progress. AbdulRazaq congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and various institutions for their roles in promoting democracy, particularly during the June 12 celebrations, which commemorate Nigeria's democratic resilience.
