NGO Launches Igbo Peace Project to Restore Stability

The Career Builder Foundation, represented by Mr. Emmanuel Ezeji, has committed to restoring peace in Igboland through the launch of the Igbo Peace Project.

This initiative commenced in the community of Amasiri, Okporojo, Oso Edda Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. The project aims to address significant economic disruptions, rising insecurity, and social tensions that have deepened divisions within the South East geopolitical region, which includes the states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.

The prolonged conflict has weakened community relationships and discouraged diaspora engagement, further complicating development efforts. Ezeji emphasized the necessity of identifying peace as a prerequisite for transformation and development in the region, highlighting the importance of addressing grievances among the people to prevent the escalation of conflicts.
