Troops Target IPOB and ESN in Anambra, Imo Operations

On March 3, 2026, troops conducted clearance operations in Anambra and Imo states to dislodge remnants of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN). The operations were coordinated by Lt.

The Nigerian Air Force supported these operations, focusing on Camp Gbadoanya in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. During the operations, several insurgent camps were identified and destroyed, with items recovered including firearms, ammunition, and Biafran flags.

On March 4, 2026, troops continued their efforts, destroying additional camps and discovering improvised explosive devices. The operations resulted in the recovery of various equipment, including welding machines and local firearms components, contributing to the ongoing efforts to secure the southeastern region of Nigeria.
