NGX Educates Students on Investor Protection Initiatives

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) organized a specialized educational session focused on investor protection, targeting 200 students from various secondary schools, including Green Pasture High School, as part of the Global Money Week 2026 celebrations. The event aimed to bridge the gap in financial literacy and regulatory safety, providing students with direct interaction opportunities with representatives from the Nigerian capital market.

The discussions centered on the theme of "Smart Money," emphasizing the importance of distinguishing legitimate investment opportunities from fraudulent schemes. NGX representatives highlighted the rise of digital investment platforms and conducted workshops stressing due diligence and the warning signs of "get rich quick" scams.

The market regulators also aimed to enhance understanding of investor rights and fair practices within the capital market. The program, which has already reached thousands of viewers online, included contributions from financial influencer Stanlei Onuorah, who collaborated to address market-related questions from the youth, ultimately aiming to strengthen the financial ecosystem and long-term stability of the Nigerian economy.
