NiDCOM Issues Emergency Hotlines for Nigerians Abroad

The Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has released emergency contact numbers for Nigerians residing in the Middle East amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. NiDCOM's Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has urged affected citizens to save these numbers and stay in regular contact with the nearest Nigerian diplomatic missions for guidance and urgent support.

The hotlines are intended to provide immediate consular assistance to Nigerians facing security risks as the conflict intensifies. Dabiri-Erewa advised Nigerians to follow official channels for updates on evacuation procedures and travel advisories.

The emergency hotlines include numbers for various Nigerian missions in the region, such as the UAE Embassy in Abu Dhabi (+971 56 884 4130), the Consulate General in Dubai (+971 56 377 8678), and others in Kuwait, Bahrain, Israel, Qatar, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, and Iraq. NiDCOM emphasized the importance of vigilance and communication with diplomatic missions as the security situation evolves.
