Niger Delta Foundation and Okomu Oil Seal N1.2bn Deal for Edo Communities' Prosperity

The Niger Delta Foundation and Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc have signed a N1.2 billion partnership agreement to enhance peacebuilding, livelihood improvement, and inclusive development in Edo State communities. The three-year memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen new projects and specific agreements until 2026.

The partnership focuses on addressing critical development priorities identified through joint community needs assessments, with a particular emphasis on peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and strengthening community dialogue. The initiative also includes support for smallholder farmers, youth employment, and vocational training programs.
