Niger Governor Bago Appoints Commissioners for Vacant Ministries

On Thursday, Governor Umar Bago of Niger State directed six commissioners to oversee various ministries that became vacant due to the resignation of cabinet members who are contesting in the 2027 general elections. This directive was communicated through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr.

Bologi Ibrahim, in Minna. The appointed commissioners include Alhaji Muazu Hamidu Jantabo, who will oversee the Ministry of Rural Development; Alhaji Mustapha Ndajiwo, who will supervise the Ministry of Budget and Planning; Alhaji Aminu Suleman Takuma, assigned to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives; Mr.

Jacob Baba Isa, overseeing the Ministry of Youth and Social Development; Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Katcha, who will manage the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education; and Hajiya Hadiza Idri Kuta, supervising the Ministry of Arts and Culture. Governor Bago emphasized the importance of these appointments in enhancing service delivery and urged the commissioners to work collaboratively to ensure seamless governance during this transition period.
