NANS Warns Niger Governor Over FUT Minna Campus Dispute

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a warning to Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago concerning the ownership dispute of the Bosso campus of the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUT Minna). NANS, represented by North Central Zonal Coordinator Comrade Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo, has called on the governor to rescind his decision to forcibly eject the university from the campus.

The association has threatened to mobilize against any attempts to confiscate the campus, which they view as a direct threat to academic stability and the welfare of thousands of students who rely on the Bosso campus for their education. The Niger State government claims that the lease agreement for the campus has expired, while university management insists that the property was lawfully acquired with compensation paid to the government.

NANS has emphasized that any disruption to academic activities will be strongly resisted within the legal framework of Nigeria.
