Nigeria Launches 30-Day Visa-Free Entry for Rwandans

The Nigeria Immigration Service announced the immediate implementation of a 30-day visa-free entry policy for Rwandan citizens, following a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This policy allows Rwandans to enter Nigeria without a visa for a period not exceeding 30 days, facilitating tourism, business engagements, and official visits.

The announcement was made in Abuja and aligns with Nigeria's commitment to reciprocate a similar gesture extended to Nigerian citizens by the Rwandan government. Individuals intending to remain in Nigeria beyond the 30-day period must obtain the appropriate visa through the Nigerian embassy or high commission abroad or via the Nigeria e-visa platform.

The policy is part of broader efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and Rwanda, reflecting a commitment to safe and orderly migration in accordance with international best practices.
