Nigeria Grants 30-Day Visa-Free Entry to Rwandan Nationals

Nigeria has announced a 30-day visa-free entry for Rwandan nationals, effective immediately. This decision was made public by the Nigeria Immigration Service and follows an announcement by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Africa CEO Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The visa exemption is a reciprocal gesture, as the Rwandan government has similarly extended this privilege to Nigerian citizens. The arrangement allows Rwandan nationals to enter Nigeria without a visa for a period of 30 days for purposes including tourism and business engagements.

However, individuals wishing to stay beyond the 30-day period must obtain the appropriate visa from Nigerian embassies or high commissions abroad. The Nigeria Immigration Service has stated that this initiative reflects the strong diplomatic and bilateral relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Rwanda, promoting intra-African mobility and economic cooperation in line with continental aspirations.
