Peter Obi Downplays El-Rufai, Kwankwaso's Influence

In an interview with Arise TV, Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, asserted that no individual is bigger than Nigeria, downplaying the influence of prominent political figures Nasir El-Rufai and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among leaders to secure northern support and tackle Nigeria's challenges, which he identified as stemming from significant divisions along religious and ethnic lines.

Obi stressed the necessity for leadership that promotes national unity and grassroots development. He called for a focus on agricultural investment to reduce poverty and improve education and healthcare.

Additionally, he emphasized that security is foundational for progress, particularly in Northern Nigeria, and noted the region's economic potential, particularly in agriculture, which he believes could generate revenue for the country if properly managed. Obi also referenced his international exposure and the need for Nigeria to adapt successful development models from other countries.
