Nigeria and China Enhance Ties at Cultural Exhibition

Nigeria and China are entering a new phase in their 55-year diplomatic relationship, emphasizing cultural understanding, agricultural transformation, science, technology, and trade. This shift was highlighted at the "Seasonal Life & Harmonious China" Cultural Exhibition held at the China Cultural Center in Abuja.

The event celebrated traditional Chinese culture and coincided with the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Dr. Mukhtar Yawale Muhammad, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, described this moment as the beginning of a "season of unprecedented opportunity" for Nigeria-China relations, indicating a move beyond traditional trade into more diverse areas.

The exhibition showcased the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, traditional Chinese delicacies, and cultural heritage crafts, reflecting the shared values of both nations regarding nature and community. The Chinese representatives emphasized the significance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations, aiming to deepen mutual understanding between the two countries.
