Nigeria Completes 2025 Pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) announced the successful conclusion of the 2025 pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan, with the final batch of pilgrims arriving at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 4:00 AM on Tuesday. Celestin Toruka, the Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, along with Executive Secretary Stephen Adegbit, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akum, for their support.

Adegbit noted that without the President's backing, the commission would not have been able to conduct five pilgrimages over the past two years. He reaffirmed the commission's commitment to the safety and comfort of Nigerian pilgrims, especially in light of recent developments in the Middle East, including the imposition of a state of emergency in Israel, which led to the suspension of pilgrimage activities.

The NCPC is closely monitoring the situation and appreciates the cooperation of stakeholders, urging Nigerians to pray for peace in Jerusalem and the wider Middle East.
