ADC Criticizes Tinubu's 'Game' Comment Amid Hardship

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned President Bola Tinubu's remarks made during an interfaith iftar event, where he suggested that Nigeria's challenges are akin to a game. ADC spokesman Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi questioned the context of Tinubu's statement, highlighting the severe economic pressures and insecurity that Nigerians currently face.

Abdullahi pointed out that the notion of a "game" is inappropriate given the hardships ordinary citizens endure, such as unemployment, food insecurity, and violence in communities. He stressed that the current situation demands serious political leadership that is fully aware of the challenges facing the populace.

Abdullahi asserted that Nigeria does not require leaders who treat governance as a competitive game but rather those who understand the weight of their responsibilities and are committed to addressing the urgent needs of the citizens.
