NOTAP Transforms Nigerian Research into Commercial Success

The National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) in Nigeria has officially ended its research initiative, which aimed to convert academic discoveries into commercially viable products. This announcement was made during a press conference in Abuja by the Director General, Dr.

Obiag Amadiobi. He emphasized that the initiative was designed to prevent valuable research from being neglected and to foster a culture of innovation within Nigerian universities.

NOTAP has established 69 Intellectual Property Technology Transfer Offices (IPTTO) across Nigerian universities to facilitate this process. Dr.

Amadiobi stated that the office will provide specialized training in intellectual property management and technology transfer, aiming to create wealth and generate thousands of jobs, thereby contributing to industrial growth across the country.
