Collaboration Needed to Address Nigeria's Infrastructure Deficit

During the Nestec award ceremony organized by the Blue Apple Education Foundation (BAEF) in Abuja, Dr. Obiag Amadiobi, Director of Technology Innovation and Commercialization at the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), stressed the importance of collaboration among government, industry, and investors to tackle Nigeria's infrastructure deficit. Amadiobi highlighted that the commercialization of local innovations is crucial for national development and transforming raw knowledge into economic wealth.

He called for a massive intellectual property awareness campaign across the country, emphasizing that securing patents is the first step in developing innovative ideas. The event brought together industry professionals, academia, and students, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial reality.

Akan Michael, representing BAEF, welcomed attendees and encouraged students to not only write essays but also develop prototypes that can lead to viable business opportunities.
