Nigeria Golf Calendar Features Major Events in August

Nigeria's golfing community is set for a busy August, featuring numerous competitions and events. The highlight is the Society Golf Day Nigeria on August 15 at Calabar Golf Club in Eburutu Military Cantonment, Cross River State.

This 18-hole competition will have four categories, with prizes for the top three finishers and a special “Closest to the Pin” prize on Hole 14. Registration for this event closes on August 14.

Following this, the Cece’s Birthday Charity Golf Kitty will take place on August 22 at the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort in Abuja, hosted by the golfer known as “Cece.” This charity event aims to raise awareness of menstrual health hygiene and funds for menstrual products for young girls. The month will conclude with the Oluyole Amateur Golf Open from August 22 to 24 at Ibadan Golf Club in Oyo State, expected to attract over 200 amateur golfers from Nigeria and across Africa.
