AbdulRazaq Endorses North Central Development Summit

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, endorsed the North Central Stakeholders Development Summit, scheduled for September 14-15, 2026, in Abuja. The summit's theme is “The Great Leap Forward: A 20-Year Economic, Infrastructural and Social Development Plan for the North Central Region.” AbdulRazaq praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for establishing the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) and highlighted the summit's role in aggregating the views and aspirations of the North Central populace.

He urged the NCDC to focus on critical sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, power, commerce, human capital development, and entrepreneurship, while also improving regional infrastructure, particularly roads and railways. Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, Managing Director and CEO of the NCDC, noted that the Commission is engaging with Governors of the seven North Central states to align its programs with state development priorities and emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving developmental goals.
