Tinubu Hosts Interfaith Fast, Calls for Unity Among Governors

President Bola Tinubu held an interfaith breaking of fast event with governors on the evening of an unspecified date, declaring that Nigeria is "out of the woods" despite ongoing economic and security challenges. The event took place at the State House banquet hall and was attended by 20 governors and two deputy governors.

Tinubu expressed optimism about the country's progress and acknowledged the hard work of the governors in addressing issues such as insecurity and unemployment. He pledged to establish state policing to combat security challenges and called for unity and sacrifice during the Ramadan season.

Tinubu praised Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum for his Ramadan feeding initiative and emphasized the need for grassroots development. The gathering, marking the third consecutive year of this tradition, featured prayers from both Muslim and Christian leaders, including Chief Imam Abdulwahe and Governor Agbu Kefa.

Hope Uzodinma, representing the Nigeria Governors Forum, highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony and collaboration among states.
