Tinubu Hosts Iftar Dinner for Governors at Aso Rock

On Monday evening, President Bola Tinubu hosted an iftar dinner for state governors at Aso Rock, continuing an annual tradition for the third consecutive year. The event gathered governors, deputy governors, and senior government officials to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

Governors present included Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Ahmadu Aliyu (Sokoto), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Moham Bago (Niger), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), and Abba Kabir Yusuf (Kano), among others. The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, were also in attendance, along with several cabinet members.

President Tinubu used the occasion to call for unity among political leaders and emphasized the importance of selfless leadership, urging governors and ministers to focus on improving the lives of citizens. He expressed hope that the tradition would continue, highlighting the need for political leaders to set aside differences for the greater good.
