Nigeria owes no sportsman any favour – Olympian Udo-Obong

Eguavoen criticized the government for failing to take responsibility for funeral arrangements, also mentioning Taribo West's comments on the issue.

He argued that allowing his son to represent the Nigerian national team was not a favor but an opportunity. In response, a Facebook user disagreed, stating that comparing the role of a sportsman to that of a soldier was insulting.
