Nigeria and Poland Strengthen Investment and Tech Ties

On Thursday, Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Tunji Ojo, hosted Poland's Deputy Prime Minister, Krzysztof Gawkowski, in Abuja to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in investments and technology. Gawkowski was accompanied by Polish Ambassador Michal Cygan and a delegation.

Ojo described the visit as a significant step towards advancing relations between Nigeria and Poland, emphasizing Nigeria's commitment to collaboration and leveraging unique strengths to address common challenges. The discussions included expanding cooperation in areas such as border management, international security systems, technology transfer, and cybersecurity innovations.

Ojo expressed interest in learning from Poland's expertise and exploring technical partnerships and investment opportunities. He acknowledged ongoing diplomatic talks and welcomed plans for a forthcoming visit to Poland, which would facilitate further discussions with Polish government agencies and business leaders.

Gawkowski thanked Nigeria for its warm reception and highlighted the potential for long-term strategic partnership, offering Poland's expertise in developing digital infrastructure and advanced technologies.
