Nigeria Strengthens Security Ties with Poland for Training

Nigeria is deepening its security cooperation with Poland, as revealed by the Ministry of Interior's plans to deploy personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and immigration services for advanced training at the Polish Security Academy in Wrocław. This initiative will focus on tactics and skills for emergency response and critical infrastructure protection.

Poland's approach to security assistance does not impose human rights conditions, which is a significant distinction from traditional Western donors. The partnership aims to enhance Nigeria's cybersecurity capabilities and develop a framework for sharing intelligence on digital threats and countering disinformation.
