Nigeria to Host CAF Ordinary Congress and 2026 Awards

Nigeria has been selected to host the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly and the 2026 CAF Awards. This announcement was made by President Bola Tinubu during a meeting with CAF President Dr.

Patrice Motsepe at the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya. The CAF Ordinary General Assembly is scheduled for October, while the CAF Awards will take place in December.

This decision marks a significant event for Nigeria as it prepares to welcome representatives from CAF's 54 member associations and six zonal unions, who will participate in the Ordinary Congress. Morocco hosted the last three editions of the CAF Awards, making this a notable shift in the event's location.
