Nigeria Targets 10M Metric Tons of Bambara Nuts in 2 Years for Health and Economic Benefits!

The Nigerian Association plans to boost Bambara nuts production to 10 million metric tons in 2 years, highlighting its medicinal benefits in treating cancer, diabetes, and liver diseases. Suleiman, the association's president, emphasized the economic significance of Bambara nuts and the government's support in diversifying the economy.

Currently producing 100 metric tons, Nigeria aims to mobilize 10 million members by year-end to enhance production. The nut is considered a vital commodity in West Africa, with plans to increase production to 10 million tons in the next two years, surpassing European countries.

Prince Alexander Eze, the National Secretary of the Association, supports this initiative to elevate Bambara nut production levels significantly.
