Nigeria and UK Sign Agreements to Boost Business Visas

On a recent Thursday, the Nigerian Government, represented by Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji Ojo and aided by Babatunde Alao, signed three agreements with the UK aimed at expanding business visas and enhancing cooperation on migration and border security. The agreements include a memorandum of understanding on migration partnership and a statement of intent to combat organized immigration crime.

Tunji Ojo described the agreements as a reflection of Nigeria's commitment to a transparent migration framework that respects national interests and international obligations. The UK Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, praised the partnership, noting that it would yield clear benefits for both countries.

The agreements are expected to strengthen collaboration in migration management and facilitate easier business engagement between the UK and Nigeria, contributing to socio-economic growth and reducing barriers to legal migration and trade.
