Nigeria and Vietnam Strengthen Cashew Trade Partnership

Nigeria and Vietnam have solidified their cashew trade partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding during the 14th Vinaca Golden Cashew Rendezvous in Hanoi, Vietnam. The agreement, facilitated by Vinaca and NCAN presidents Pham Van Cong and Dr.

Ojo Joseph Ajanaku respectively, seeks to boost bilateral business exchanges and technology transfer in the cashew industry. Nigeria's focus on non-oil exports, particularly cashew, valued at $420 million to Vietnam by 2025, highlights the significance of this partnership in improving product efficiency and expanding market access.

The collaboration aims to leverage expertise, enhance product diversification, and create new export opportunities, ultimately contributing to economic diversification and rural employment in Nigeria.
