Nigeria to Host First Youth-Led Infrastructure Summit

The CNAIP Youth Initiative has announced plans for Nigeria's first national youth-led summit, scheduled for June 15-17, 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre in Jahi, Abuja. This landmark event aims to safeguard Nigeria's critical infrastructure, addressing current threats such as physical destruction and cyberattacks.

The summit will serve as a platform for the formal launch of the CNAIP Youth Initiative, which includes four core program components designed to transform Nigeria's youth into protectors of national assets. Aniefiok Jimmi, the special envoy for sustainable development, emphasized the importance of redefining the role of youth in national development.

The initiative aims to operationalize Nigeria's 2024 critical national asset protection policy and includes a nationwide public awareness campaign, a youth volunteer scheme, and an annual national summit. The summit is expected to attract 1,000 participants, including government officials, security agencies, youth leaders, and private sector stakeholders.
