Nigerian Army Honors Fallen Soldiers in Borno State

The Nigerian Army laid to rest soldiers who were killed during operations in Borno State, with the burial ceremony held at Maimalari Military Cantonment in Maiduguri. The event took place on a Friday, and a statement was issued on Saturday by Lt.

Col. Sanni Uba, the media information officer for the Joint Task Force North East.

During the ceremony, Maj. Gen.

Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, described the occasion as painful and a reminder of the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces. He praised the deceased soldiers for their courage, loyalty, and dedication to defending the nation.

Abubakar assured the families of the fallen soldiers that their sacrifices would not be in vain and that they would receive benefits and support promptly. Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, represented by Mustapha Ali Yabe, the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Security Trust Fund, expressed condolences and commended the troops for their commitment to restoring peace in the state.
