The Nigerian Army has denied mutiny allegations circulating online, labeling them as false and misleading. Colonel Appolonia Anel, the Army's spokesperson, emphasized the seriousness of mutiny as a grave offense against military law.

The Army reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline and loyalty among its personnel, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve troop welfare, including regular salary reviews and enhanced operational allowances. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's support for the welfare of the armed forces was also acknowledged.

The Army warned against portraying it as unstable, lawless, or irresponsible, as it could harm national security and public trust.
