Nigerian Army Rescues Four Victims in Sokoto Operation

The Nigerian Army conducted an operation named Fansan Yamma in Sokoto State, successfully thwarting a kidnapping attempt and rescuing four individuals. The operation was initiated based on reliable intelligence suggesting that armed terrorists were engaging in kidnapping activities in the region.

Troops stationed at a forward operating base (FOB) in Unashi were quickly mobilized to the area to restrict the movement of the terrorists. Upon arrival, the troops encountered the terrorists and engaged them with superior firepower, overwhelming the attackers.

The terrorists abandoned the four kidnapped individuals and fled into nearby bushes. Military officials confirmed that there were no casualties among the troops during the operation, which underscores their dedication to safeguarding lives and addressing insecurity in the North West region of Nigeria.
