Nigerian Military Kills Bandits, Arrests Eight in Zamfara

The Nigerian Military has intensified operations in Zamfara State to combat banditry, resulting in the killing of suspected bandits and the arrest of eight individuals. The joint task force engaged in a gun battle with suspected terrorists in the Birnin Tsaba Tsanu community within the Birnin Magaji local government area.

During the exchange of fire, seven motorcycles believed to belong to the criminal group were recovered. The military responded to reports of an attack on Anguwar Sarkin Musulmi village in the Kaura Namoda local government area, where preliminary findings indicated that the attackers had already fled after looting valuables from residents.

This operation reflects the increasing pressure on armed groups as the military continues its efforts to weaken their operations across the northwest region of Nigeria.
