Nigerian Navy Celebrates 70 Years with School Donations

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos in Delta State marked the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy by conducting an educational outreach program. The initiative involved distributing school bags and books to pupils at Ikper Primary School in Ugborodo, Warri South West Local Government Area.

Captain Arinzechukwu Kenneth Egwuatuonwu, the commanding officer of FOB Escravos, emphasized the importance of military-civilian relationships and the Navy's commitment to investing in the future of children. The outreach program aims to win the hearts and minds of the local community and strengthen existing cordial relationships.

The head teacher of Ikper Primary School, Mr. Ogunfeyimi Bola, expressed gratitude for the Navy's support, while community leader Mr.

Jeffrei Amoya acknowledged the Navy's consistent efforts to show love to the children. The initiative reflects the Navy's dedication to education as a powerful tool for building a brighter future for the youth.
