Nigerian Navy Alerts Public to Fake 2026 Recruitment Notice

The Nigerian Navy has officially warned the public about a fraudulent recruitment notice claiming to announce a 2026 Batch 39 recruitment exercise. Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, the Director of Naval Information, stated that this notice was neither authorized nor published by the Navy.

He advised prospective applicants to be vigilant and to ignore any recruitment information from unofficial sources, including social media and unauthorized websites. Folorunsho emphasized that all legitimate recruitment announcements, including eligibility requirements and application procedures, will only be disseminated through the Navy's official communication channels, specifically the websites http://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng and https://navy.mil.ng.

Additionally, he cautioned against paying individuals or third-party agents claiming to facilitate recruitment, asserting that the Navy does not authorize such practices and that recruitment is entirely free of charge. This warning comes amid a rise in fraudulent recruitment schemes targeting job seekers.
