Nigeria Police to Screen 50,000 Recruits Starting March 9

The Nigeria Police Force, through its spokesman Torti Njoku Kalu, announced that physical screening for 50,000 recruits will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026. This screening is the next stage of the nationwide recruitment process, following the completion of online registration.

Candidates are required to appear at designated screening venues in their state of origin or the Federal Capital Territory, wearing specific attire: white canvas shoes, white t-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings. The initiative aims to enhance the personnel capacity of the Nigeria Police Force in response to increasing insecurity, including attacks, kidnappings, and banditry.

Hashimu Salihu Argungu, the chairman of the Police Service Commission, emphasized that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned applicants to avoid online scammers. He also noted that offenders attempting to exploit the process will face arrest and prosecution.
