Nigerian Student Named Valedictorian at University of Ghana

Mofiyinfoluwa Samuel, a Nigerian student, has emerged as the valedictorian at the University of Ghana, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in French Linguistics and achieving a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.95. Her academic journey reflects a consistent record of excellence and leadership, alongside global engagement throughout her undergraduate years.

Samuel's passion for languages began at the age of seven, inspired by her French tutor, Mr. Tonton B.

She explored the relationship between language and cultural identity at the university and served as the head of the Atelier Musiquè, a French language music club that promotes language learning and intercultural exchange on campus. Samuel earned a competitive scholarship for a 2023 exchange program at Sciences Po Bordeaux in France, broadening her academic and cross-cultural exposure.

She has also interned at the Transbureau leadership foundation, gaining professional experience in leadership development. Samuel plans to explore the intersection of language, culture, and technology, particularly in artificial intelligence and cross-cultural communication.
