Nigerian Scholar Wins EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship

Arom Ibrahim, a Nigerian technology scholar, has been awarded the prestigious EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellowship, a flagship funding scheme of the European Union aimed at supporting doctoral and postdoctoral training. Ibrahim's research will focus on technological entrepreneurship and regenerative business models, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in these fields.

Previously, he was recognized with the Erasmus Mundus Master's scholarship and has studied entrepreneurship at various institutions in Croatia, Lithuania, and Belgium. Ibrahim is known for his impact on the ecosystem through virtual and augmented reality development across Africa and Europe.

He is a co-founder and lead technologist at a Nigerian virtual reality and augmented reality consulting agency based in the Netherlands, which utilizes a no-code XR AI platform to expand its presence in Africa. The fellowship will provide him with the opportunity to contribute new perspectives to global research and demonstrate the ecological impact of emerging technologies in business, aiming to support the transition towards a regenerative economy.
